Improving Access to General Practice
Please see the below document
If you prefer, you may request a telephone consultation. If you would like to speak to a doctor or nurse by telephone ask the receptionist. Please be prepared to give a brief description of the nature of your problem and a contact telephone number. Please note that depending on the outcome of your discussion/consultation with the doctor you may still need to attend the surgery
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
There is great pressure on appointment availability. National policy is to encourage patients to expect to be seen within 48 hours, or on the same day for more urgent problems. Our aim a s a practice is to reduce the rate of missed appointments. After discussion with our Patient Participation Group, we have implemented this policy and by the use of education we hope to improve the service we offer. The Missed Appointment Policy can be found at Practice_DNA_Policy.docx
