Permanent full and part-time position available
Salary: £17,700 PA (pro-rata for PT post)
We are seeking a Medical Receptionist/Administrator to provide reception and administration support in a busy rural dispensing General Practice. We are a small, friendly team looking for someone with previous reception experience to join us. Previous GP or NHS experience would be preferred but not essential.
The Receptionist/Administrator role entails a mixture of front line reception work, telephone and administrative tasks, including new patient registrations, patient deductions and data entry. Clinical mail workflow and liaising with external agencies via e-mail and telephone is also an integral part of this responsibility. The successful candidate should have the ability to multi-task in this fast paced role and be genuinely passionate about providing a first rate service to our patients. Flexibility to cover colleagues within the team is essential.
Candidates should have excellent IT skills, good presentation, confidence and communication skills. You need to have the ability to work well in a team as well as independently and be calm under pressure with good time management skills.
Please note that although we are happy to accept applications from registered patients, if you are successful we will require you and your immediate family to register with another local GP. We cannot make any exceptions to this requirement.
